Meagan Pollock, PhD

Executive Director, Design Connect Create

Meagan Pollock Headshot

Dr. Meagan Pollock is the Executive Director of Design Connect Create. With a unique background in engineering, education, consulting, research, and nonprofit work, Dr. Pollock is a nationally recognized thought leader on STEM equity. Fueled with a deep passion for helping young women of diverse backgrounds to pursue STEM educational pathways and careers, Dr. Pollock is well poised to lead the organization to the next level: building capacity and scaling programs that will help us reach more young women. 

Dr. Pollock has most recently worked at the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) as Director of Professional Development leading a team of equity professionals focused on building educators' capacity to implement effective solutions for increasing student access, educational equity and workforce diversity. Before turning her focus on the intersection of education and equity, she worked as an engineer for Texas Instruments. Dr. Pollock was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Purdue University, a M.S in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas Woman's University.

In addition, Meagan is CEO of 7E Ventures, a firm that provides consulting and development services related to engineering, education and equity, and houses two tech start-ups. Meagan also serves as Vice President of Batten Hope, a nonprofit working to fund gene therapy research for children diagnosed with rare neuro-degenerative diseases at UT Southwestern and Children's Hospital in Dallas.

Linda Antinone

Camp Instructor. AP Physics, Paschal High School, Fort Worth ISD.
Linda Antinone
Linda is the Mathematics Department Chair and AP Physics Teacher at R. L. Paschal High School, Fort Worth ISD and a national instructor for Teachers Teaching with Technology. She has taught physics and mathematics for 29 years and has a Bachelors in Mathematics and Physics Education and Masters in Mathematics both from The Ohio State University.

Daniel Brown

Camp Instructor. Physics Teacher, Parish Episcopal School.
Daniel Brown
Daniel is AP Physics teacher at Parish Episcopal School. He was a Physics teacher for Dallas ISD for twenty years where he taught AP Physics at several high schools in the district. He has a Bachelors in Physics from Texas A&M and Masters in Physics from University of North Texas.

Rebecca Jensen

Camp Instructor. AP Physics, Talented and Gifted Magnet / Dallas ISD.
Rebecca Jensen
Rebecca is AP Physics and Statistics Teacher, School for Talented and Gifted, Dallas ISD years and her students have passed over 475 AP physics exams. She created the first Physics Camp for Young Women in Dallas ISD in 2003. She has taught for 18 and has a BS in Physics from Trinity University and PhD in Physics from UT Austin

Eric Strong

Camp Instructor. AP Physics, Talented and Gifted Magnet / Dallas ISD.
Eric Strong
Eric is AP Physics and Mathematics Teacher at the School for Talented and Gifted Magnet, Dallas ISD and Adjunct Professor at University of North Texas at Dallas. He has taught physics for 5 years and has a Bachelors from US Air Force Academy, a Masters from Cal Tech, a PhD from Stanford all in Electrical Engineering and a Masters from Stanford in Statistics.
